Lynnewood Gardens

My Lynnewood Experience From: projektzero Date posted: 3/2/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   I've lived at Lynnewood Gardens for 2 years now. During the first year I didn't have too many issues with my comfortable 1 bedroom. That is...until the summer came and with that came a huge infestation of centipedes. Everyday I would find at least 6 coming out of the vent in the living room. If you don't mind creepy crawlies then maybe this place is for you. During my second year I noticed a huge issue...the horrid smell that would come from the vents during morning and evening time. The neighbors on the first floor cooked horrible smelling food at 5am and 7pm everyday. It smelled like a mixture between a Chinese food restaurant and a Curry kitchen. I found out that the only way to escape was to open all of my windows...sometimes during the dead of winter...and retire into my bedroom with the door closed. Not all the candles, freshening sprays, or fans could battle the stench from what these people were cooking. The ventilation here is bad and I know that I am not the only one who has had this issue. Had I known of this apartment review site I would have stayed away. I don't want to seem like a whiner but, there is more. There are issues with draining but the maintanence staff is on top of things so they fixed that in a timely manner. The bathtub chips because they seem to just paint over the tub when people leave. The walls are thin so shelves don't hold into the wall even with reinforcements. Had a shelf fall onto my bed at 3am...nice rude awakening. They do offer alot of space in the apartments. Looks can be deceiving when you first check them out. But by the looks of things as of late...not many people are choosing to stay here as many of these units remain vacant.
