Yo!

What a disaster

My wife an I lived here for a year in 06. God were we happy when our lease was up. This place was awful. The day after we moved in we noticed that the floor in the kitchen by the closet was sinking in from what I assume was water damage (mainly because we soon found out the dishwasher leaked whenever you ran it). I pointed it out to the property manager, and she said that they were going to wait until it was more serious before they did anything about it. I think that should have been our queue to get outta dodge, but we stayed anyways. Next was the upstairs neighbor. Now what you have to understand is that I am an incredibly tolerant person, and generally I dont get bothered very easily. But I think that her and what must have been her 20 kids had all day marthons to see who could run back and forth the longest, which was only half as bad as the everyday screaming matches her and her boyfriend would have (whether they were fighting or very much not fighting, lol). Granted, I was laughing while I acted out the ol cliche knocking on the ceiling with a broomstick routine, but unfortunately my wife was not. Now I know bad neighbors arent a property managers fault, but when I told her about it she said they usually dont have any problems with that tennant and dont like to get involed in that kind of thing. She suggested that I go talk to her instead. I couldn't beleive it. Next was the mysterious ceiling leak that appeared over night right above...you guessed it, the couch (thank god we got the fabric protection, lol). When we finally got Buck the maintenance man out there, ( and I swear to god this is the same guy who once literally drove a chainsaw into his forehead) he was baffled because there were no pipes whatsoever above the ceiling there, which really really made me wonder about those nieghbors upstairs and what they were doing. I'll give Buck a little credit though, he did fix it pretty quickly and it wasn't a problem after that, but we he never did figure out what exactly it was that leaked all over the couch. All in all, it was just a bad experience. It wasn't the most expensive place in the world (I think we paid just under 6 for a 2 bedroom), but it was no where near worth the price. One last thing. Before you move here you might want to hop online an check out the ol sex offender registry, because to mine and my wifes dismay, apparently the property mangers do not. Happy hunting boys n girls.
