Clean, safe suburban living

I have lived at Bayside for 7 months, and have found the management, facilities and other tenants to be perfectly acceptable. I especially appreciate the free aerobics classes and management's efforts to build community by hosting parties and movie nights. But if you are seeking the San Francisco experience, I recommend looking elsewhere. The atmosphere of Bayside is rather bland, and seems ideally suited to transient professionals. The South Beach neighborhood lacks the unique personality one finds in the Mission, or SoMA, and there aren't any funky places to eat or drink, just newish yuppie cruising grounds.
On the plus side, it's very quiet, the grounds are nicely landscaped with soothing fountains (courtyard-facing apts. are best) and the folks who work there seem to genuinely care about making sure the residents are happy.
Looking for something to write the folks at back home in Des Moines about' Go somewhere else. Looking for a place to crash comfortable after your 14-hour workaholic job' This is the place.
