A Thumbs Up. - I've had a really good experience living here SR. It's definitely a place designed for a city loving professional who places a high premium on having access to all the great things SF has to offer. Having the BART less than a block away has been awesome - trips to SFO have been a breeze (beats the $35 cab fare each way). The building itself is secure and reasonably peaceful ...Full review of SOMA Residences

Avoid like the plague! - For about 14 months, they did spalling work. This involved drilling into the exterior building walls. Sometimes the noise was so loud that it shook my couch. We were required to keep all windows and balcony doors closed from 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Friday for about 4 months of this time. It was suffocating. They had a "hot line," but the only time I used it they took ...Full review of Golden Gateway Apartments

If you fill out an application, they keep your money - I recently filled out an application for an apartment. Jerry made me get a $200.00 cashier's check in order to put in my application. He rented to someone else and will not return my calls to get my money back. There is no way a credit check costs $200.00. Hopefully he will do the honest thing and return the remainder of the money, but unfortunatly now that I read these reviews I am ...Full review of Burke-Lewis Apartments

SLUMLORDS - I'm currently staying here for a month, needed a cheap place to stay while on business. I'm ok with cheap. What I'm not ok with is having construction daily from 7-5. They had other properties we could have rented from without this, and there was no mention of it from the landlord. A 7am wake up call is not something I want to be surprised by. Another reason we chose this apt ...Full review of Trinity Plaza

Three years and very few problems... - My wife and I moved in December of '05 and we've been here ever since. There are very few problems I've encountered at 2133 Stockton, and what problems there were, while the time taken to fix them were longer than usual, they do get the job done. The apartment itself is quiet--it's the occasional fire truck (a firehouse is up on top of the hill near the park) and car ...Full review of Trinity Properties

Avoid? Yes, avoid. I think. - Have lived here for 3 months. Still can't decide if this is the best or worst place I've ever rented. Plusses: Location. Walk to UCSF, Golden Gate Park, all the great shops and restaurants on Irving... nice neighborhood, relatively little crime (for SF), wonderful views. Noise. Concrete construction means I only hear my side neighbors when their shrill yappy dog is ...Full review of Avalon Sunset Towers

Worst Building in Pacific Heights - Other than the view, I have nothing positive to say about my experience at 2000 Broadway. The staff are pretty consistently useless and rude, the building thoroughly *sucks* (noisy, cheap, and butt-ugly), and the laundry setup is a TOTAL RIP OFF... ...Full review of 2000 Broadway

Not Recommended - Lived here from 2006-2007. This place is way way overpriced for what you are getting and they will raise your rent almost $200 after your lease is up. you can find things better a few blocks away for up to 400 bucks less a month. The grounds are generally clean and safe, but it seems i'm the only person that cleans up after their pet. If you live on the street level in either building be ...Full review of Avalon at Nob Hill

Hayes Valley Properties - where to start - Richard Fraser is the owner of Hayes Valley Properties former name BunkHouse Apartments. A few friends of mine retired police and firemen have fond stories about how most of the property in that area was acquired years ago - by setting fires and burning out and strong arming people out of the neighborhood - the beginnings of this mans mis-managed properties. Mismanaged for years by people ...Full review of Hayes Valley Properties
